Another interesting salt marsh perennial found at Jawbone reserve is Austral Seablite. This is a bushy succulent shrub less than a metre high. The fleshy leaves are narrow, light-green in colour becoming reddish in the autumn.
The leaves are interspersed with clusters of tiny flowers in the summer and early autumn.
